Steer Me Right is a car buying service in Austin that works with buyers nationwide. We research the cars, compare offers and negotiate the price and fees with dealers. You choose the car, check the final terms and decide whether to buy.
01
Define the search.
Start with the vehicle type, budget, location, and preferences that matter to you. That points the search without locking you into a specific car.
02
Research available vehicles.
We search new, used and certified pre-owned dealer inventory for the models your plan covers. Steer Me Right Pro covers up to three models, such as a BMW X3 and a Mercedes GLC, and adds out-of-state dealers.
03
Compare and communicate.
Your advisor lines up the listings and written offers, talks to the dealers, and negotiates the price and fees.
04
Review before deciding.
You review the vehicle, seller information, financing, insurance, inspection, and final paperwork. We don’t buy the car for you or make the call.
What a car-buying service does
A car-buying service does the part of car shopping you’d otherwise do across listing sites, dealer calls and written quotes. We start from your search details, find cars that fit, and send you written recommendations. Your advisor also compares the offers, negotiates price and fees with the dealers and lines up the next steps.
The fee doesn’t include the vehicle price, taxes, registration, inspection, financing, insurance or delivery costs. What’s in stock, which dealers respond and how long it takes all vary. We can take the legwork off your hands, but you still need to check the car and the final paperwork yourself.
What a car negotiator can review
A car negotiator works from the information available for a particular vehicle and seller. That may include the listed price, a written quote, and seller-provided fee details. We compare those terms, flag anything that needs explaining, and negotiate price and fees with the dealer. The goal is a short list of written offers you can compare. We can’t promise a specific discount.
Negotiation is one part of the purchase. A mechanic, lender or official source may need to check the car’s condition, the seller’s claims, the financing, taxes, registration, warranty, insurance or contract. Arranging an inspection and confirming the terms before you sign is up to you.
What stays with the buyer
You decide which car, if any, to buy. You also arrange the inspection, pick financing and insurance, review the contract and final paperwork, and confirm pickup or delivery. On Steer Me Right Pro, we help coordinate shipping from an out-of-state dealer when the dealer is open to it.
Two plans. $395 or $695.

Written recommendations: what we found and what we’d do
A model means a make and model, like a BMW X5. Trims, colors and packages within a model don’t count extra. On the Steer Me Right plan, you can upgrade to Steer Me Right Pro later by paying the $300 difference.
Questions about the service.
What will the car buying service cost?
The Steer Me Right plan is a $395 USD one-time service fee and covers one model. Steer Me Right Pro is a $695 USD one-time service fee and covers up to three models. The fee doesn’t include the vehicle price, taxes, registration, inspection, financing, insurance or delivery costs.
Can Steer Me Right help if I already know the exact car?
Yes. Your search details can include a specific year, make, model, trim, mileage range, color, transmission, and search radius. What we can find still depends on what’s in stock, which dealers respond and your plan.
Can Steer Me Right choose the car for me?
No. Steer Me Right can research and document options, but you choose the vehicle and decide whether to proceed after reviewing its condition and the final terms.
Is the service only for buyers in Texas?
No. Steer Me Right is based in Austin and supports buyers nationwide through remote service. Our city pages are service areas, not storefronts.
